Patna : India scored 176/3 in 20 overs against Bangladesh in Nidahas Trophy T20I tri-series at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka, on March 14, 2018, night, riding on an explosive 89 in 61 balls by captain Rohit Sharma and 47 in 30 balls by Suresh Raina. Sharma and Raina were involved in a 102 run partnership for the second wicket. Sharma hit 5 sixes and 5 fours in his 89. He was run out in 20th over.

The first Indian wicket fell when opener Shikhar Dhawan was out to fast bowler Rubel Hussain for 35 when the team score was 70. Raina also fell to Rubel Hussain when the score was 172. Raina hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in his 47. Dhawan hit 5 fours and a six. Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik remained not out on 2. Bangaldesh had won the toss but opted to bowl first.
