New Delhi : India , in a positive development, reported only 44,877 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 50,407 cases on January 12, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded in the country sincet the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,26,31,421 at 8 am on February 13, 2022.

The country logged 684 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, down from 804 on February 12, 2022, taking the toll to 5,08,665 on February 13, 2022, with the case fatality rate standing at (1.19% on February 13.

On the other hand, a total of 1,17,591 Covid-19 patients recovered in last 24 hours, down from 1,36,962 recoveries on February 12, 2022, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,15,85,711 on February 13. India’s recovery rate (RR) stands at 97.55%.

India’s Active Caseload was 5,37,045 on February 13, 2022, a drop of 73,398 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 1.26% of the country’s total Positive Cases on the day, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 14,15,279 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 75.07 Crore (75,07,35,858) sample tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 4.46% on February 13, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 3.17%.

Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 49.16 lakh (49,16,801) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 172.81 Crore (1,72,81,49,447) as per provisional reports till 7 am on February 13, 2022.
