New Delhi : India reported only 27,409 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 34,113 cases on February 14, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,26,92,943 at 8 am on February 15, 2022.

A total of 82,817 Covid-19 patients, on the other hand, recovered in last 24 hours in the country, down from 91,930 recoveries on February 14, 2022, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,17,60,458 on FEbruary 15, 2022. India’s recovery rate improved to 97.82% on February 15, 2022, from 97.68% on February 14.

India’s Active Caseload was 4,23,127 on February 15, 2022, a drop of 55,755 in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 0.99% of the country’s total Positive Cases on February 15, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

India logged 347 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 5,09,358 in the country on February 15, 2022, including 1,43,416 in Maharashtra 39,665 in Karnataka, 37,932 in Tamil Nadu, 26,076 in Delhi, and 17,610 in Punjab.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,29,536 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 75.30 Crore (75,30,33,302) sample cumulative tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 3.63% on February 15, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.23%.

Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 44.68 lakh (44,68,365) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 173.42 Crore (1,73,42,62,440) as per provisional reports till 7 am on February 15, 2022.
