New Delhi : India logged only 10,273 new Covid-19 cases were in last 24 hours, down from 11,499 cases on February 26, taking the tally of cases recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,29,16,117 on February 27, 2022..
India reported 243 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, down from 255 deaths on February 26, taking the toll to 5,13,724 in the country on February 27, 2022, including 1,43,695 in Maharashtra. 39,919 in Karnataka, 26,119 in Delhi, 23,450 in Uttar Pradesh, 12,255 in Bihar, and 5,315 in Jharkhand, according to Union Health Ministry figure,
A total of 20,439 Covid-19 patients recovered in last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,22,90,921 on February 27, 2022. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.54% on February 27 from 98.52% on February 26, 2022.
India’s Active Caseload was 1,11,472 on February 27, 2022, a drop of 10,409 in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 0.26% of the country’s total Positive Cases on the day. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 1.26% on February 27, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 1.00%.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 10,22,204 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 76.67 Crore (76,67,57,518) sample tests.
With the administration of more than 24.05 lakh (24,05,049) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 177.44 Crore (1,77,44,08,129) as per provisional reports till 7 am on February 27, 2022.
