New Delhi : India reported 9,283 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 7,579 cases on November 23, 2021. Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases being reported for 150 consecutive days now.
A total of 10,949 Covid-19 patients, on the other hand, were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours, down from 12,202 recoveries on November 23, 2021, increasing the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,39,57,698 on November 24, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.33% on November 24.
The Active Caseload further dropped to 1,11,481 in the country on November 24, 2021, from 1,13,584 cases on November 23. Active cases accounted for 0.32% of the country’s total Positive Cases on November 24, the lowest since March 2020.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,57,697 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 63.47 Crore (63,47,74,225) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.93% remains less than 2% for the last 61 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.80% on November 24, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 51 days and below 3% for 86 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 76,58,203 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 118.44 Crore (1,18,44,23,573) as per provisional reports till 7 am on November 24, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,22,71,257 sessions.
