New Delhi : India logged 92,596 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, less than 1 lakh new cases for the 2nd successive day, taking gthe tally to 2,90,89,069 cases registered so far in the country at 8 am on June 9, 2021. On the positive side, a total of 1,62,664 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,75,04,126 on June 9, 2021. India also reported 2,219 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 3,53,528 in the country on June 9.
Recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 27th consecutive day on June 9. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients in India improved to 94.55% on June 9, 2021. India’s Active Caseload further declined to 12,31,415 on June 9, 2021, a decrease of 72,287 cases in last 24 hours. Active caseshave declined to less than 13 lakh after 57 days, according to Union Health Ministry figure. Weekly Positivity Rate in India currently stands at 5.66%. Daily positivity rate stands at 4.66%, less than 10% for 16 consecutive days.
