New Delhi : For the second consecutive day, the detection of new Covid-19 cases exceeded the recoveries on December 10, 2021. India logged 8,503 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours. Less than 15,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for the last 43 days now.

On the other hand, a total of 7,678 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/ discharged in the country in last 24 hours increasing the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,41,05,066 to December 10, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) stands at 98.36%, the highest since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

India’s Active Caseload was 94,943 on December 10, 2021. Active cases accounted for 0.27% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,93,412 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 65.32 Crore (65,32,43,539) sample tests.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.72% remains less than 1% for the last 26 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.66% on December 10, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 67 days and below 3% for 102 consecutive days now.

With the administration of 74,57,970 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 131.18 Crore (1,31,18,87,257) as per provisional reports till 7 am on December 10, 2021.  This has been achieved through 1,36,76,290 sessions.
