New Delhi : India logged 84,332 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,93,59,155 cases in the country at 8 am on June 12, 2021. The count of new Covid -19 cases was lowest after 70 days.The country has recorded less than 1 lakh Daily New Cases for 5 continuous days now. The Recovery Rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients increased to 95.07% on June 12.
On the other hand, a total of 1,21, 311 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,79,11,384 on June 12, 2021. Recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Covid-19 Cases for the 30th consecutive day in India on June 12. The country also reported 4,002 new deaths in last 24 hours taking the Covid-19 toll to 3,67,081 on June 12, 2021. Recovery Rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients increased to 95.07% in India on June 12.
India’s Active Caseload declined to less than 11 lakh (10,80,690) after 63 days on June 12. Active Cases decreased by 40,981 in the country in last 24 hours, and account for only 3.68% of the country’s total Positive Cases, according to a PIB release. The Weekly Positivity Rate dropped to 4.94% in the country on June 12, 2021. The daily positivity rate was 4.39%, less than 10% for 19th consecutive days.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 19,20,477 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively India has conducted over 37.62 crore (37,62,32,162) tests so far.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country nearly reached 25 Crore on June 12, 2021, under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. A total of 34,33,763 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. A total of 24,96,00,304 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far through 34,64,228 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on June 12, 2021.
