New Delhi : India reported a total of 80,834 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in 71 days, taking the tally to 2,94,39,989 cases in the country at 8 am on June 13, 2021. The country has recorded less than 1 lakh Daily New Cases for 6 consecutive days now.
India’s Active Caseload declined to 10,26,159 on June 13, 2021, a drop of 54,531 cases in last 24 hours. The Active Caseload has been below 20 lakh for thirteen successive days. India also reported 3,303 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 3,70,384 in the country on June 13, 2021.
On the other hand, a total of 1,32,062 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,80,43,446 on June 13, 2021, with Recoveries continuing to outnumber the Daily New Cases for 31st consecutive day. A total of 51,228 more recoveries were reported during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases.
The Recovery Rate i(RR) of Covid-19 patients improved to 95.26% in India on June 13, 2021, showing a sustained increasing trend. Daily positivity rate was 4.25% on June 13, less than 10% for 20 consecutive days, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 19,00,312 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively India has conducted over 37.81 crore (37,81,32,474) tests so far, according to a PIB release. While on one side testing has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 4.74%.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country exceeded the 25 Crore mark on June 12, 2021, under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Altogether 34,84,239 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. A total of 25,31,95,048 vaccine doses have been administered through 35,05,535 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on June 13, 2021.
