New Delhi : India logged only 6,561 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 7,554 cases on March 2, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,29,45,160 at 8 am on March 3, 2022.
India reported 142 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, down from 223 deaths on March 2, taking the toll to 5,14,388 o March 3, 2022, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
A total of 14,947 Covid-19 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, up from 14,123 recoveries on March 2, taking cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to now 4,23,53,620. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.62% on March 3 from 98.60% on March 2, 2022.
India’s Active Caseload was 77,152 on March 3, 2022,, a decline of 8,528 in last 24 hours Active cases constituted 0.18% of the country’s total Positive Cases on March 3.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 8,82,953 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 77 Crore (77,00,50,005) sample tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 0.99% on March 3, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 0.74%.
Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 21 lakh (21,83,976) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 178 Crore (1,78,02,63,222) as per provisional reports till 7 am on March 3, 2022.
