New Delhi : India logged 30,757 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 30,616 cases on February 16, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,27,54,315 at 8 am on February 17, 2022. The country reported 541 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, up from 514 deaths on February 16, taking the toll to 5,10,413 on February 17, 2022
A total of 67,538 Covid-19 patients recovered in last 24 hours, down from 82,988 recoveries on February 16, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,19,10,984 on February 17, 2022. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.03% on February 17 from 97.94% on February 16, 2022.
India’s Active Caseload was 3,32,918 on February 17, 2022, a drop of 37,322 in last 24 hours. Active cases accounted for 0.78% of the country’s total Positive Cases on the day, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,79,705 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 75.55 Crore (75,55,32,460) sample tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 3.04% on February 17, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.61%.
Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 34.75 lakh (34,75,951) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 174.24 Crore (1,74,24,36,288) as per provisional reports till 7 am on February 17, 2022..
