New Delhi : India reported 23,529 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 18.870 cases on September 29, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,37,39,980 at 8 am on September 30, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 95 consecutive days now.

On the other hand, a total of 28,718 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours, up from 28,178 recoveries on September 29, taking the tally of recoveries to 3,30,14,898 on September 30, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.85% from 97.83% on September 29, 2021. The Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The Active Caseload was 2,77,020 on September 30, 2021, a further drop of 5,500 cases in last 24 hours. This is the lowest in 195 days. Active cases accounted for 0.82% of the country’s total Positive Cases on September 30.

With the administration of 65,34,306 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 88 crore (88,34,70,578) as per provisional reports till 7 am on September 30, 2021.  This has been achieved through 85,92,824 sessions.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 15,06,254 sample tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 56.89 crore (56,89,56,439) cumulative tests.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.74% remains less than 3% for the last 97 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.56% on September 30, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 31 days and below 5% for 114 consecutive days now.

India recorded 311 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, down from  378 death on September 29, taking the toll to 4,48,062 on September 30, 2021.
