New Delhi : India logged 18,166 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 19,740 cases on October 9, 2021. This is the lowest recorded daily new cases in 214 days. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 105 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total 23,624 Covid-19 patients iwere declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally of recoveries to since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,32,71,915 at 8 am on October 10, 2021. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.99%,the highest peak since March 2020.
The Active Caseload was 2,30,971 in India on October 10, 2021, the lowest in 208 days. Active cases accounted for 0.68% of the country’s total Positive Cases on the day.
With the administration of 66,85,415 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 94 Crore (94,70,10,175) as per provisional reports till 7 am on October 10, 2021. This has been achieved through 92,12,314 sessions, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
he last 24 hours saw a total of 12,83,212 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 58.25 crore (58,25,95,693) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.57% remains less than 3% for the last 107 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.42% on October 10, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 41 days and below 5% for 124 consecutive days now.
