New Delhi : India logged 11,919 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 10,197 cases on November 17, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Covid-19 Cases have been reported for 144 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 11,242 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in the country, down from 12,134 recoveries on November 17, 2021, increasing the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,38,85,132 on November 18, 2021. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.28%, according Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload was 1,28,762 in the country on November 18, 2021, up from 1,28,555 cases on November 17, 2021. Active cases constitute 0.37% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,32,505 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 62.82 Crore (62,82,48,841) sample tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.94% remains less than 2% for the last 55 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.97% on November 18, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 45 days and below 3% for 80 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 73,44,739 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 114.46 Crore (1,14,46,32,851) as per provisional reports till 7 am on November 18, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,17,53,091 sessions.
