New Delhi : India reported only 22,270 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 25,920 cases on February 18, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,28,02,505 at 8 am on February 19, 2022.
India logged just 325 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, down from 492 deaths on February 18, taking the toll to 5,11,230 on February 19, 2022.
A total of 60,298 Covid-19 patients patients recovered in last 24 hours, down 66,254 recoveries on February 18, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,20,37,536 on February 19, 2022. India’s recovery rate improved to 98.21% on February 19 from 98.12% on February 18, 2022, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India’s Active Caseload was 2,53,739 on February 19, a drop of 38,353 in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 0.59% of the country’s total Positive Cases on February 19.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,35,471 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 75.81 Crore (75,81,27,480) cumulative tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 2.50% on February 19 while the Daily Positivity rate was 1.80%.
Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 36.28 lakh (36,28,578) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 175.03 Cr (1,75,03,86,834) as per provisional reports till 7 am on February 19, 2022.
