New Delhi : India recorded only 5,784 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in 571 days, taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,47,03,644 cases on December 14, 2021.
A total of 7,995 Covid-19 patients, on the other hand, recovered in the country in 24 hours increasing the cumulative tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,41,38,763 on December 14, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.37% on December 14, the highest since March 2020.
India’s Active Caseload was dropped to 88,993 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in 563 days. Active cases accounted for only 0.26% of the country’s total Positive Cases on December 14, 2021, the lowest since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 9,50,482 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 65.76 Crore (65,76,62,933) sample tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.68% remains less than 1% for the last 30 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.58% on December 14, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 71 days and below 3% for 106 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 66,98,601 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 133.88 Crore (1,33,88,12,577) as per provisional reports till 7 am on December 14, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,40,27,706 sessions.
India recorded 252 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,75,888 in the country on December 14, 2021.
