New Delhi : India recorded 42,909 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 45,083 cases on August 29, 2021, taking the tally to 3,27,37,939 at 8 am on August 30, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases has been reported for 64 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 34,763 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours, down from 35,840 recovery on August 29, 2021, taking the tally to 3,19,23,405 in the country on August 30 with the recovery rate (RR) further dropping to 97.51% from 97.53% on the day before.
The Active Caseload was 3,76,324 on August 30, 2021, an increase of 7,766 cases in last 24 hour and accounted for 1.15% of the country’s total Positive Cases from 1.13% on August 29, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
With the administration of 31,14,696 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 63.43 crore (63,43,81,358) as per provisional reports till 7 am on August 30, 2021. This has been achieved through 68,14,305 sessions.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 14,19,990 sample tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 52.01 crore (52,01,46,525) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.41% remains less than 3% for the last 66 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 3.02% on August 30, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 5% for 84 consecutive days now.
India recorded 380 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, down from 460 deaths on August 29, 2021, taking the toll to 4,38,210 in the country on August 30, 2021.
