New Delhi : India logged 28,591 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 33,376 new cases on September 11, 2021, taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,32,36,921 at 8 am on September 12, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 77 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 34,848 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours, up from 32,198 recoveries on September 11, 2021 taking the tally to 3,24,09,345. The recovery rate (RR) improved to 97.51% on September 12, 2021, from 97.49% on September 11.
The Active Caseload was 3,84,921 in India on September 12, 2021, a drop of 6,595 cases in last 24 hours. The Active cases accounted 1.16% of the country’s total Positive Cases on September 12.
With the administration of 72,86,883 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, country’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 73.82 crore (73,82,07,378) as per provisional reports till 7 am on September 12, 2021. This has been achieved through 75,25,766 sessions.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 15,30,125 sample tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 54.18 crore (54,18,05,829) cumulative tests, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.17% remains less than 3% for the last 79 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.87% on September 12, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 13 days and below 5% for 96 consecutive days now.
India reported 338 new deaths due to Civid-19 in lst 24 hours, up from 308 new deaths on September 11, 2021, taking the toll to 4,42,655 on September 12.
