New Delhi : India recorded 1,61,736 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,36,89,453 cases in the country at 8 am on April 13, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 97,168 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,22,53,697 in the country. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients further dropped to 89.51% in India on April 13 from 89.86% on April 12, 2021.
Active cases (12,64,698) on April 13, 2021, accounted for 9.24% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,36,89,453) recorded so far in India, a massive jump of 63,689 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 25,92,07,108 samples so far including 14,00,122 samples on April 12, 2021. Meanwhile, 10,85,33,085 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 40,04,521 beneficiaries on April 12, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll surged to 1,71,058 in India on April 13, 2021, with 879 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 258 in Maharashtra, 132 in Chhattisgarh, 72 in Delhi, 72 in Uttar Pradesh, 55 in Gujarat, 52 in Punjab, 52 in Karnataka, 37 in Madhya Pradesh, 25 in Rajasthan, 19 in Tamilnadu, 19 in Jharkhand, 14 in West Bengal, 14 in Haryana, 11 in Andhra Pradesh, 11 in Kerala, 9 in Himachal Pradesh, 7 in Telengana, and 6 in Bihar. India had recorded 904 new deaths on April 12, 2021. Meanwhule, the case fatality rate dropped to 1.25% in India on April 13, 2021.
