New Delhi : The terrifying spike in Covid-19 continues in India 1,52,879 new cases being recorded in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,33,58,805 cases at 8 am on April 11, 2021. The silver lining is, a total of 90,584 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country during the same period taking the tally to 1,20,81,443 on April 11, 2021. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients further dropped to 90.44% in India on April 11 from 90.* % on April 10, 2021.
The Active cases ( 11,08,087) on April 111, 2021, accpounted for 8.29% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,33,58,805) recorded so far in India, a surge of 61,456 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 25,66,26,850 samples so far including 14,12,047 samples on April 10, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 10,15,95,147 people have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country including 35,19,987 beneficiaries on April 10, 2021.
The Covid-19 climbed to 1,69,275 in India on April 11, 2021, with 839 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 309 in Maharashtra, 123 in Chattisgarh, 58 in Punjab, 49 in Gujarat, 46 in Uttar Pradesh, 39 in Delhi, 36 in Karnataka, 24 in Madhya Pradesh, 23 in Tamilnadu, 18 in Rajasthan, 17 in Kerala, 17 in Jharkhand, 12 in West Bengal, 12 in Andhra Pradesh, 12 in Himachal Pradesh, 11 in Haryana, 7 in Telengana, 6 in J&K, and 6 in Bihar. India had recorded 794 new deaths on April 10, 2021. Meanwhile, the case fatality rate dropped to 1.27% in India on April 11, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure
