New Delhi : India logged 7,774 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hourstaking the tally of cases recorded so far to 3,46,90,510 in the country on December 12, 2021. Less than 15,000 Daily New Cases that have been reported for last 45 days now.
On the other hand, a total of 8,464 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in the country in last 24 hours increasing the cumulative tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,41,22,795 on December 12, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) stands at 98.36%, the highest since March 2020.
India’s Active Caseload was 92,281 on December 12, 2021, the lowest in 560 days. Active cases constitute 0.27% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020, according to a Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,89,459 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 65.58 Crore (65,58,16,759) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.70% remains less than 1% for the last 28 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.65% on December 12, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 69 days and below 3% for 104 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 89,56,784 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 132.93 Crore (1,32,93,84,230) as per provisional reports till 7 am December 12, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,38,52,959 sessions.
The country recorded 306 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,75,434 till date.
