New Delhi : India logged 46,164 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 37,593 recorded on the day before, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,25,58,530 at 8 am on August 26, 2021.
On the other hand, a total of 34,159 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,17,88,440 on August 26, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 97.63% from 97.67% on August 25, 2021.
The Active Caseload in the country was 3,33,725 on August 26, 2021, an alarming increase of 11,398 cases in last 24 hours. The Active cases accounted for 1.03% of the total positive cases in the country. The Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.02% on August 26, less than 3% for last 62 days. The Daily positivity rate was 2.58% on August 26, less than 3% for last 31 days.
Over 60.38 Crore ( 60,38,46,475 doses) Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive including 80,40,407 vaccine doses on August 25, 2021. India has tested 51,31,29,378 samples so far including 17,87,283 samples on August 25, 2021.
India recorded 607 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,36,365 in the country on August 26, 2021, down from 648 deaths on August 25.
