New Delhi : India reported 43,509 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, exceeding the daily recoveries by a margin of 5,044, taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,15,28,114 at 8 am on July 29, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for the 32nd consecutive day in the country.
A total of 38,465 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,07,01,612 on July 29, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.38%.. India recorded 640 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,22,662 on July 29.
India’s Active Caseload was 4,03,840 on July 29, 2021, an increase of 4,404 cases in last 24 hours. The active cases constituted 1.28% of the country’s total Positive Cases on July 29. The Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.38% on July 29 while the Daily Positivity was 2.52%.
Menawhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 45 crore on July 28, 2021. Cumulatively, 45,07,06,257 vaccine doses have been administered through 54,11,501 sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am on July 29, 2021. A total of 43,92,697 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 17,28,795 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 46 crore (46,26,29,773) tests so far..
