New Delhi : India recorded 42,766 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases registered so far to 3,07,95,716 at 8 am on July 10, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported since thirteen continuous days.
On the other hand, a total of 45,254 Covid-19 patienst were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,99,33,538 on July 10, 2021. India recorded 1,206 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,07,145 in the country on July 10, 2021.
India’s Active Caseload further dropped to 4,55,033 on July 10, 2021, a decline of 3,694 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases now account for only 1.48% of the country’s total Positive Cases.
Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,99,33,538 people have already recovered from Covid–19 . This constitutes an overall recovery rate (RR) of 97.20% showing a sustained increasing trend.
Meanwhile, India’s cumulative vaccination coverage crossed 37 crore on July 9, 2021. A total of 37,21,96,268 vaccine doses have been administered through 48,04,423 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on July 10, 2021. A total of 30,55,802 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The new phase of universaliszation of Covid-19 vaccination commenced from June 21, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 19,55,225 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 42.90 crore (42,90,41,970) tests so far.
While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.34% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.19% on July 10, 2021. Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 19 consecutive days.
