New Delhi : India recorded 41,831 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases to 3,16,55,824 at 8 am on August 1, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 35 consecutive days. The new Covid-19 cases exceeded the daily recoveries by a margin of 2,573. A total of 39,258 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in the country taking the tally to 3,08,20,521 on August 1, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.36%.
India’s Active Caseload was 4,10,952 on August 1, 2021, an increase of 2,032 cases in last 24 hours. The Aactive cases now constitute 1.30% of the country’s total Positive Cases, according to Union Health Ministry figure. Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.42% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.34% on August 1. Daily Positivity rate has remained below 5% for 55 consecutive days now.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 47 crore on July 31, 2021. Cumulatively, 47,02,98,596 vaccine doses have been administered through 55,71,565 sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am on August 1, 2021. A total of 60,15,842 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. India has tested 46,82,16,510 samples so far including 17,89,472 samples on July 31, 2021.
