New Delhi : India reported 41,806 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, exceeding the daily recoveries, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,09,87,880 at 8 am on July 15, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for eighteen consecutive days.
On the other hand, a total of 39,130 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,01,43,850 on July 15, 2021., with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.28% showing a sustained increasing trend. India recorded 581 new deaths due to Cocid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,11,989 on July 15.
India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed the landmark of 39 crore. Cumulatively,39,13,40,491 vaccine doses have been administered through 49,41,567 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on July 15, 2021. A total of 34,97,058 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
India’s Active Caseload was 4,32,041 on July 15, 2021, an increase of 2,095 cases in last 24 hours, and accounted for 1.39% of the country’s total Positive Cases. With substantially ramped up testing capacity a total of 19,43,488 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 43.80 crore (43,80,11,958) tests so far, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.21% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.15% on July 15. Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 24 consecutive days.
