New Delhi : India recorded 41,649 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, exceeding the daily recoveries by a margin of 4,358, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,16,13,993 at 8am on July 31, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 34 consecutive day.
A total of 37,291 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,07,81,263 on July 31. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.37%. India recorded 593 new deaths in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,23,810 in the country on July 31.
India’s Active caseload was 4,08,920 on July 31, 2021, an increase 3,765 cases in last 24 hours, and accounted for 1.29% of of the total positive cases. The Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.42% while the Daily positivity rate was 2.34% on July 31.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 46 crore on July 30, 2021. Cumulatively, 46,15,18,479 vaccine doses have been administered through 54,94,423 sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am on July 31, 2021. A total of 52,99,036 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
A total of 17,76,315 sample tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 46.64 crore (46,64,27,038) tests so far.
