New Delhi : India registered 40,120 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,21,17,826 at 8 am on August 13, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily new cases have been reported for 47 consecutive days.
On the other hand, a total of 42,295 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/ discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,13,02,345 with the recovery rate improving to 97.46% on August 13, 2021, the highest ever recovery rate achieved by India since the start of the pandemic.
India’s Active Caseload was 3,85,227 on August 13, 2021, a drop of 2,760 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases now constitute only 1.20% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020. Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.13% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.04% on August 13. Daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 18 days and below 5% for 67 consecutive days now.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has nearly reached 53 crore. Cumulatively, 52,95,82,956 vaccine doses have been administered through 60,40,607 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on August 13, 2021. A total of of 57,31,574 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
A total of 19,70,495 sample tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 48.94 crore (48,94,70,779) tests so far.
The country logged 585 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,30,254 in the country on August 13, 2021.
