New Delhi : India logged 3,86,452 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, the highest since the pandemic broke out in India, taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 1,87,62,976 at 8 am on April 30, 2021. The country had recorded 3,79,257 new Covid-19 cases on April 29, 2021. In a very significant development, a total of 2,97,540 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,53,84,418 on April 30, 2021. The country also registered 3,498 new deaths in last 24 hours.
Active cases climbed to 31,70,228 in India on April 30, 2021, an increase of 85,414 cases in last 24 hours. The country has tested 28,63,92,086 samples so far including 19,20,107 samples on April 29, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 15,22,45,179 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country so far including 22,24,548 beneficiaries on April 29, 2021.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 surged to 2,08,330 in India on April 30, 2021, with 3,498 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 771 in Maharashtra, 395 in Delhi, 295 in Uttar Pradesh, 270 in Karnataka, 251 in Chhattisgarh, 180 in Gujarat, 158 in Rajasthan, 145 in Jharkhand, 137 in Punjab, 107 in Tamilnadu, 97 in Haryana, 95 in Madhya Pradesh, 89 in West Bengal, 89 in Bihar, 85 in Uttarakhand, 57 in Andhra Pradesh, 53 in Telengana, and 48 in Kerala. The country had logged 3,645 new deaths on April 29, 2021.
