New Delhi : With the scaring spike continuing, India logged an 3,79,257 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,83,76,524 cases in the country at 8 am on April 29, 2021. The silver lining though is 2,69,507 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged also in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,50,86,878 on April 29, 2021. The country also recorded 3,645 new deaths in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,04,832 deaths so far in the country.
Active cases jumped to 30,84,814 in India on April 29, 2021, an increase of 1,06,105 cases in the country in last 24 hours. The country has tested 28,44,71,979 samples so far including 17,68,190 samples on April 28, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 15,00,20,648 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country so far including 21,93,281 beneficiaries on April 28, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure..
India recorded 3,645 new deaths in last 24 hours including 1,035 in Maharashtra, 368 in Delhi, 279 in Chhattisgarh, 265 in Uttar Pradesh, 229 in Karnataka, 174 in Gujarat, 149 in Jharkhand, 142 in Punjab, 120 in Rajasthan, 108 in Uttarakhand, 105 in Mdhya Pradesh, 98 in Tamilnadu, 95 in Haryana, 84 in Bihar, 77 in West Bengal, 71 in Andhra Pradesh, 58 in Telengana, 41 in Kerala, 33 in Himachal Pradesh, 30 in J&K, and 24 in Goa. India had recorded 3,293 new deaths on April 28, 2021. The case fatality rate dropped to 1.11% in India on April 29,2021.
