New Delhi : India logged 37,593 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 25,467 cases a day before, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,25,12,366 at 8 am on August 25, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases has been reported for 59 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 34,169 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 317,54,281 on August 25, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 97.67% from 97.68% on August 24, 2021.
The Active Caseload was 3,22,327 in the country on August 25, 2021, an increase of 2,776 in last 24 hours. At 0.99%, Active cases presently form less than 1% of the country’s total Positive Cases, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India’s cumulative vaccination coverage crossed the 59 Crore landmark on August 24, 2021. With the administration of 61,90,930 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 59.55 crore (59,55,04,593) as per provisional reports till 7 am on August 25, 2021. This has been achieved through 65,52,748 sessions.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 17,92,755 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 51.11 crore (51,11,84,547) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.92% remains less than 3% for the last 61 days. The Daily Positivity rate was 2.10% on August 25, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for the last 30 days and below 5% for 79 consecutive days now.
