New Delhi : India recorded 34,703 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in last 111 days,  taking the tally of cases registered so far to 3,06,19,932 at 8 am on July 6, 2021.

In sharp contrast, a total of 51,864 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,97,52,294 on July 6, 2021. Daily recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 54th consecutive day on July 6. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients improved to  97.17% on July 6, 2021.

India’s Active Caseload further declined to 4,64,357 on July 6, 2021, the lowest in 101 days. Active cases constituted 1.52% of total cases on July 6.

India recorded 553 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,03,281 on July 6, 2021, including 1,23,136 in Maharashtra, 35,434 in Karnataka, 33059 in Tamilnadu, 24,997 in Delhi, 22,646 in Uttar Pradesh, 17,817 in West Bengal, 16122 in Punjab, 13,818 in Kerala, 13,457 in Chhattisgarh,  9,606 in Bihar, and 9,606 in Jharkhand, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

Meanwhile, 35.75 crore Vaccine Doses have been administered so far in the country under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccine, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.  than 37.07 crore (37,07,23,840) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through all sources and a further 23,80,000 doses are in the pipeline.
