New Delhi : India recorded 3,43,144 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 3,62,727 cases on May 13, 2021, taking the tally to 2,40,46,809 cases at 8 am on May 14, 2021. In a major development, single day recoveries exceeded the Covid-19 cases logged in the country in last 24 hours by a margin of 1,632. A total of 3,44,776 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally of patient cured so far to 2,00,79,599 crossing 2 crore mark for the first time on May 14, 2021.
India registered 4,000 new deaths in last 24 hours down from 4,120 new deaths recorded on May 13, 2021. The Covid-19 toll climbed to 2,62, 317 in India on May 14, 2021. The new 4,000 deaths included 850 in Maharashtra, 344 in Karnataka, 308 in Delhi, 277 in Uttar Pradesh, 195 in Chhattisgarh, 163 in Haryana, 108 in Jharkhand, and 90 in Bihar, The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients improved to 83.50 % in the country on May 14 from 83.26% on May 13, 2021,
