New Delhi : India logged 30,773 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 35,662 cases on Septembr 18, 2021, taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,34,48,163 on September 19, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 84 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 38,945 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours increasing the cumulative tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,26,71,167 with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.68% on September 19, 2021, from 97.65% on September 18, 2021.
The Active Cases count in the country was 3,32,158 on September 19, 2021, a drop of 8,481 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases accounted for 0.99% of the country’s total Positive Cases on September 19, 2021.
With the administration of 85,42,732 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the landmark figure of 80 crore (80,43,72,331) as per provisional reports till 7 am on September 19, 2021. This has been achieved through 79,15,457 sessions, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 15,59,895 sample tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 55.23 crore (55,23,40,168) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.04% remains less than 3% for the last 86 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.97% on September 19, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 20 days and below 5% for 103 consecutive days now.
India registered 309 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,44,838 on September 19, 2021.
