New Delhi : India logged only 30,093 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in 125 days, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,11,74,322 at 8 am on July 20, 2021.
On the other hand, a total of 45,254 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,03,53,710 on July 20, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.37%.
India’s Active Caseload further dropped to 4,06,130 on July 20, 2021, the lowest in 117 days, recording a drop of 15,535 in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 1.30% of total cases on July 20. The Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.06% on the day while Daily positivity rate was 1.68%, less than 3% for 29 consecutive days, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
Meanwhile, over 41.18 Crore Vaccine Doses ( 41,18,46,401 doses) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive including 52,67,309 doses on July 19, 2021. India has tested 44,73,41,133 samples so far including 17,92,336 samples on July 19, 2021.
India recorded only 374 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,14,482 in the country on July 20, 2021, including 1,27,097 in Maharashtra, 36,197 in Karnataka, 33,752 in Tamilnadu, 25,030 in Delhi, 22,728 in Uttar Pradesh, 18,011 in West Bengal, 16,237 in Punjab, 15,408 in Kerala, 9,630 in Bihar, and 5,122 in Jharkhand.
