New Delhi : India reported 2,82,970 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic to 3,79,01,241 including 8,961 Omicron cases at 8 am on January 19, 2022..
on the positive side, a total of 1,88,157 Covid-19 patients recovered in last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,55,83,039 at 8 am on January 19, 2022., India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 93.88% on the day.
India’s Active Caseload was 18,31,000 on January 19, 2022, an increase of 94,372 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 4.83% of the country’s total Positive Cases on the day.
The country logged 441 new deaths due t Covud-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,87,202 in the country on January 19, 2022. The case fatality rate was 1.29% on the day.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 18,69,642 sample tests being conducted in gthe country. India has so far conducted over 70.74 Cr (70,74,21,650) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 15.53% on January 19, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 15.13%.
Meanwhile. with the administration of more than 76 lakh (76,35,229) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 158.88 Crore (1,58,88,47,554) as per provisional reports till 7 am on January 19, 2022, according to Union Health Ministry figgure.
