New Delhi : Continuing the declining trend India reported 2,55,874 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, a massive drop from 3,33,533 cases on January 24, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 3,97,99,202 at 8 am on January 25, 2022.
On the other hand, a total of 2,67,753 Covid-19 patients recovered in last 24 hours, up from 2,59,168 recoveries on January 24, 2022, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,70,71,898 on January 25, 2022. India’s recovery rate (RR) was 93.15% on January 25.
India’s Active Caseload was 22,36,842 on January 25, 2022, a decrease of 12,493 in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 5.62% of the country’s total Positive Cases on January 25, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India reported 614 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,90,462 in the country on January 25, 2022. The case fatality rate dropped to 1.23% on January 25, 2022.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 16,49,108 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 71.88 Crore (71,88,02,433) sample tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 17.17% on January 25, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 15.52%.
Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 62 lakh (62,29,956) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 162.92 Crore (1,62,92,09,308) as per provisional reports till 7 am on January 25, 2022..
