New Delhi : India logged 22,842 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,38,13,903 in the country at 8 am on October 3, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 98 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 25,930 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,30,94,529 on October 3, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) was 97.87% on the day. The Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload was 2,70,557 on October 3, 2021, a drop of 3,332 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in 199 days. Active cases accounted for 0.80% of the country’s total Positive Cases on the day.
With the administration of 73,76,846 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 90 crore (90,51,75,348) as per provisional reports till 7 am on October 3, 2021today. This has been achieved through 87,84,333 sessions.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,65,734 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 57.32 crore (57,32,60,724) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.66% remains less than 3% for the last 100 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.80% on October 3, 2022. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 34 days and below 5% for 117 consecutive days now.
