New Delhi : India reported 12,830 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, down from 14,313 cases on October 30, 2021.Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been eported for 126 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 14,667 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the last 24 hours, up from 13,543 recoveries on October 30, taking the tally of tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,36,55,842 on October 31, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.20% on October 31, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload dropped to 1,59,272 on October 31, 2021, from 1,61,555 cases a day before, the lowest in 247 days. Active cases accounted for 0.46% of the country’s total Positive Cases on October 31, the lowest since March 2020.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,35,142 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 60.83 Crore (60,83,19,915) sample tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.18% remains less than 2% for the last 37 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.13% on October 31, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 27 days and below 3% for 62 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 68,04,806 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 106.14 Crore (1,06,14,40,335) as per provisional reports till 7 am on October 31, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,06,01,975 sessions.
