New Delhi : India reported 10,197 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 8,865 cases on November 16, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 143 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 12,134 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours, up from 11,971 recoveries on November 16, 202, increasing the cumulative tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,38,73,890 on November 17, 2021. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.28% on November 17, 2021.
The Active Caseload further ropped to is presently at 1,28,555 on November 17, 2021, down from 1,30,793 cases on November 16, the lowest in 527 days. Active cases accounted for 0.37% of the country’s total Positive Cases on November 17, the lowest since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,42,177 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 62.70 Crore (62,70,16,336) sample tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.96% remains less than 2% for the last 54 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.82% on November 17, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 44 days and below 3% for 79 consecutive days now.
Meanwhile, with the administration of 67,82,042 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 113.68 Crore (1,13,68,79,685) as per provisional reports till 7 am on November 17, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,16,73,459 sessions.
