New Delhi :India recorded 10,126 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 11,451 cases on November 8, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 135 consecutive days now due to sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs.
On the other hand, a total of 11,982 Covid-19 patients were declared cured /discharged in the country in last 24 hours, down from 13,204 recoveries on November 8, 2021, increasing the cumulative tally of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,37,75,086. India’s recovery rate (RR) improved to 98.25% on November 9, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload was 1,40,638 on November 9, 2021, down from 142,826 cases on November 8, the lowest in 263 days. Active cases accounted for 0.41% of the country’s total Positive Cases, the lowest since March 2020, on November 9.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 10,85,848 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 61.72 Crore (61,72,23,931) cumulative tests.
The, Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.25% remains less than 2% for the last 46 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 0.93% on November 9, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 36 days and below 3% for 71 consecutive days now.
With the administration of 59,08,440 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 109.08 Crore (1,09,08,16,356) as per provisional reports till 7 am on November 9, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,10,77,727 sessions.
