Patna : India crushed West Indies by 224 runs in the 4th ODI at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, on October 29, 2018, night, to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match ODI series. Chasing a target of 378, West Indies were all out for only 153 with captain Jason Holder, who failed to take any wicket in the match, scoring 54 in 70 ball with a four and two sixes. Keemo Paul scored 19 while Marlon Samuels made 18. Wicketkeeper Shai Hope was run out without scoring while Kieran Powell was run out for 4. Shimron Hetmyer was out for 13.
For India, fast bowler K Khaleel Ahmad took 3/13 in 5 overs while spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 3/42 in 8.2 over. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.
Earlier, electing to bat after winnings the toss, India scored 377/5 in 50 overs riding on 162 in 137 ball with 20 fours and 4 sixes by vice-captain Rohit Sharma and 100 in 81 ball with 8 fours and 4 sixes by Ambati Rayudu. It was Ro-hit Sharma’s 21st ODI century and the fifth in 2018. Rohit and Rayudu added 211 runs for the third wicket. Rayudu was run out.
Captain Virat Kohli fell to fast bowler Kemar Roach for 16 while wicketkeeper M S Dhoni fell to Roach for 23. Opener Shikhar Dhawan made 38 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Dhawan and Rohit added 71 run for the first wicket. Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on 16 in 7 ball with 3 fours and Ravindra Jadeja remained not out on 7 including a four.
For West Indies, Kemar RFoach took 2/74 while Keemo Paul took 1/88. Spinner Ashley Nurse took 1/57. Rohit Sharma was declared Man of the Match.
