Patna : India crushed Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs in the first test in the third session of play on Day 3 at Holkar CRicket Stadium, Indore, MP, on November 16, 2019, with fast bowler Mohammad Shami taking 4/31 in 16 overs and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin taking 3/42 in 14.2 overs. Umesh Yadav took 2/51 while Ishant Sharma took 1/31. India opener Mayank Agarwal was declared Player of the Match. With this victory, India have now 300 ICC Test Championships points.
Bangladesh, who had scored 150 in their first innings, were all out for 213 in 69.2 overs in their second innings with Mushfiqur Rahim scoring 64 in 150 balls hitting 7 fours while spinner Mehidy Hasan scored 38 in 55 balls with 5 fours and a six. Liton Das (wk) scored 35 while captain Mominul Haque made 7.
India had declared their first innings at 493/6 with opener Mayank Agarwal scoring 243 and Ajinkya Fahane 86. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 60.
