Patna : India crushed Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the 2nd T20I at Saurahstra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, Gujarat, on November 7, 2019, with opener Rohit Sharma (captain) absolutely pulverising the Bangladesh bowlers scoring 85 in 43 balls, the fifty coming in just 23 balls. Rohit, the Hit-Man, hit 6 fours and 6 sixes including three on consecutive balls off spinner Mosaddek Hossain in his first over, the 10th of the innings. Rohit was declared Player of the Match for his wonderful display of strokeplay. India had won the toss but opted to bowl.

Rohit and fellow opener Shikhar Dhawan added 118 runs for the first wicket in 10.5 overs, their 4th century partnership, the maximum in T20Is. Both Rohit and Dhawan fell to spinner Aminul Islam. Dhawan scored 31 in 27 balls with 4 fours. Replying to Bangladesh’1 153/6 in 20 overs, India scored 154/2 in 15.4 overs to level the three-match series 1-1. Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 24 in 13 balls with 3 fours and a six while Lokesh Rahul remained not out on 8 in 11 balls.

Earlier batting first, Bangladesh had scored 153/6 with openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim scoring 29 and 36 runs respectively adding 60 runs for the first wicket. Both Soumya Sarkar and captain Mahmudullah scored  30 runs each. Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal ( 2/28) and Washington Sundar (1/25) bowled very well.
