Patna : India beat South Africa by 8 wickets in the 6th ODI at SuperSpot Park, Centurion, South Africa, on February 16, 2018, riding on a superb unbeaten 124 in 96 balls by Captain Virat Kohli, his 35th ODI ton, clinching the 6th-match ODI series 5-1 further consolidating theirĀ  Number 1 position in the ICC ODI rankings.

This was Kohli’s 3rd ODI century in the series and he has scored over 500 runs in this series. Kohli hit 19 fours and 2 sixes in his unbeaten century while Ajinkya Rahane remained not out on 34 in 50 balls. Rohit Sharma was out for 15 in 13 balls while Shikhar Dhawan made 18 in 34 balls.

India won the toss but opted to bowl first. South Africa scored 204 in 46.5 overs with K Zondo being the top scorer making 54 runs in 74 balls hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes. A B de Villiers made 3 while Andile Phehlukwayo scored 34. In reply, India made 206/6 in 32.1 overs.

For India, pacer Shardul Thakur took 4/52, Jasprit Bumrah 2/24 and Yuzvendra Chahal 2/38. Kuldip Yadav and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each.
