Patna : India were all out for 364 in 126.1 overs in 2nd session of play on Day 2 in their first innings in 2nd test against England at Lord’s, London, on August 13, 2021, after adding just 88 runs to their overnight score as fast medium bowler James Anderson took 5/62 in 29 overs. Mark Wood and Ollie Rabinson took two wickets each.
Resuming at their overnight score of 276/3, India lost their 4th wicket that of opener Lokesh Rahul at 278. Rahul fell to fast medium bowler Ollie Rabinson for 129 runs in 250 balls hitting 12 fours and 1 six. He could add just 2 runs to his overnight score . Ajinkya Rahane fell to James Anderson for 1 continuing his flop show and it was 282/5.
Rishabh Pant (wk) and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja then added 49 runs for the 6th wicket. Pant fell to fast bowler Mark Wood for 37 in 58 balls with 5 fours and it was 331/6. Fast bowler Mohd Shami fell to spinner Moeen Ali for zero making it 336/7. Jadeja fell to Mark Wood for 40 runs in 120 balls with 3 fours.
