Patna : India were all out for 107 runs in 35.2 overs in their first innings against England on the second day of the 2nd test at Lord’s, London, on August 10, 2018, late night. England had won the toss but opted to bowl. India, who trail 1-0 in the five-test series, made a disastrous start losing their first three wickets for just 15 runs.

The two openers : Murli Vijay and Lokesh Rahul, were out for 0 and 8 respectively continuing their poor run in the series. Captain Virat Kohli, who was responsible for Chetaswar Pujara’s run out for 1, was out for 23 with 2 fours to Chris Woakes when the score was 49.

The much hyped Ajinkya Rahane was out for 18 while Hardik Pandya was out for 11. Wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik was out for 1 while Kuldeep Yadav was out for duck. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin scored 29 with 4 fours. He was the top scorer of the team. Mohd Shami remained unbeaten on 10.

For England, James Anderson took 5/20 in 13.2 overs while Woakes took 2/19 in 6 overs. Stuart Broad and Sam Curran took one wicket each.
