Patna : India were 72/2 after 30 overs at lunch on Day 1 in their first innings of the 2nd test against West Indies (WI) at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, on August 30, 2019, night. WI won the toss but opted bowl.

India lost their first wicket at 32 when Lokesh Rahul fell to fast bowler Jason Holder ( captain) for 13. India lost their second wicket at 46 when Cheteswar Pujara fell to off-spinner Rahkeem Cornwall for 6. Opener Mayank Agarwal was unbeaten on 41 and Captain Virat Kohli was batting on 5 at lunch. Jason Holder has bowled brilliantly taking 1/7 in 8 overs. He took the wicket of Rahul in his first over.

WI has brought in Jahmar Hamilton as wicketkeeper in place of Sai Hope in this test. Rahkeem Cornwal is making his debut for WI in this test. The Team India remains unchanged.
