Patna : India were 493/6 in 114 overs  at stumps on Day 2 in their first innings in 1st Test against Bangladesh at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, MP, with opener Mayank Agarwal scoring 243 in 330 balls hitting 28 fours and 8 sixes, his 3rd century in last four tests, Ajinkya Rahane scoring 86 in 172 balls with 9 fours, and Cheteswar Pujara making 54 in 72 balls with 9 fours. India lead by 343 4uns.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was unbeaten on 60 in 76 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes while fast bowler Umesh Yadav was unbeaten on 25 in 10 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes at stumps. Jadeja and Yadav have so far added 39 runs in 19 balls for the 7th wicket.

Earlier, Mayank and Rahane added 190 runs for 4th wicket. Mayank and Jadeja added 123 runs for 5th wicket. Mayank Agarwal fell to spinner Mehidy Hasan when the team score was 432 while Wriddhiman Saha (wk) fell to medium pacer Ebadat Hossain making it 454/6. Medium fast bowler Abu Jayed took 4/108 in 25 overs.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Bangladesh were all out for just 150 on Day 1.
