Patna : Chasing a target of 328 runs, India were 4/0 in 1.5 overs in their 2nd innings at stumps on Day 4 in the 4th test against Australia at The Gabba, Brisbane, Australia, on January 18, 2021, with Rohit Sharma batting on 4 and Shubman Gill yet to open his account. India need to score 324 runs on Day 5 to win this match. Almost the third session of the play was washout out due to rain.

Australia lost their first wicket that of Marcus Harris at 89 but were reduced to 123/4 losing the wicket of Warner at 91 and that of Marnus Labuschagne at 123.

Warner fell to Washington Sundar for 48 in 75 balls with 6 fours while Harris fell to Shardul Thakur for 38 in 82 balls with 8 fours. Smith fell to Mohd Siraj for 55 with 7 fours. All-rounder Cameron Green fell to Thakur for 37 in 90 balls with 3 fours. Fast bowler pat Cummins remained unbeaten on 28 in 51 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Marnus Labuschagne fell to Siraj for 25 in 22 balls with 5 fours.
